G&K Services, Inc., a market leader in branded identity apparel programs and facility services, has received notice from the United States Patent and Trademark Office that it will award the company two patents on its ProSura™ Food Safety Solutions Program. G&K’s innovative ProSura program is a proprietary set of protocols, chemistry and handling standards that reduce the risk of cross-contamination in the food industry.

Both patents pertain to G&K’s closed-loop process for handling, processing and delivering garments for the food processing and retail food industries. In addition, the patents cover the process for conducting biological testing of the processing surface and laundered garments to validate compliance with particular facility and customer sanitization procedures and cleanliness standards.
