Matt Schrantz, COO of HarVest CI, tells readers about Climashield® and its best-in-class continuous filament insulation solutions for the industry.
RDN: Tell our readers a little about your company. What’s your main line of business?
MS: Climashield produces lightweight thermal insulation. Climashield supplies continuous filament insulation to customers worldwide and is noted for providing the warmest, most durable, water resistant and hypoallergenic insulation products in the market.
RDN: What makes your company unique?
MS: Our main differentiating factor is that we are completely focused on consumer insulation, while most of our competitors only do it as a part of their business. All of our efforts go toward insulation needs of the general consumer, resulting in a complete knowledge of consumer needs and the ability to deliver the best product to them.
RDN: What was the most significant event or series of events affecting your company in the past year?
MS: Climashield recently was purchased by HarVest, CI. Made up of outdoor enthusiasts and venture capitalists with a strong belief in our product, our brand and our brand’s future, HarVest purchased Climashield and our manufacturing facility. HarVest will continue to expand the Climashield product line, concentrating especially on environmentally-friendly ‘green’ products.
RDN: Are you introducing any new products?
MS: We are excited to introduce our new line, ClimashieldGreen®; continuous filament insulation made out of 100 percent recyclable fibers. At Climashield, we believe that it falls upon us to limit the negative environmental effects if we can. ClimashieldGreen is part of our answer.
RDN: What products do you see as being hottest this year?
MS: Products that are designed with ‘green’ in mind. ‘Green’ is no longer just the right thing to do, it’s the expected thing to do. Companies are looking for ways to integrate environmentally responsible products, and luckily we can introduce them to ClimashieldGreen.
RDN: What distinguishes your products from the competition?
MS: Climashield has the most durable, the most reliable and the most resilient continuous filament insulation available. We are tested among discerning buyers to be the best. And now, we have distinguished ourselves further with the introduction of our ClimashieldGreen line. Our durability, paired with our green commitment sets us in a category different than any other insulation provider currently available.
