Initiative Will Increase Supply Chain Connectivity & Visibility for Nation’s Leader in Asian Foodservice
ArrowStream, a leading provider of supply chain solutions for the food industry, announced an initiative to improve Panda Restaurant Group’s supply chain management process with ArrowStream’s OnDemand Solution. Panda Restaurant Group is the nation's leader in high quality Asian foodservice and one of the largest family-owned businesses operating several successful restaurant concepts including Panda Express, Panda Inn and Hibachi-San.
Panda Restaurant Group recently reported its 12th consecutive year of same store sales growth, continued restaurant expansion and more than $1.2 billion in sales.
To sustain that growth trajectory and build a more robust supply chain, ArrowStream identified key areas of improvement for Panda including:
- the opportunity to automate the contract management system,
- the need for increased visibility into the full supply chain, and
- the opportunity to more tightly manage supply chain operations with real time information.
“We believe that our partnership with ArrowStream will enhance Panda’s ability to scale for ongoing growth. We know that optimizing our supply chain by tapping into the ArrowStream Network and increasing visibility will be critical elements of our success,” said Larry Behm, senior vice president of Operation Support and Innovations for Panda.
OnDemand provides comprehensive visibility into the supply chain process helping customers track price variations on goods and negotiate contracts. The solution amasses data from the ArrowStream Network, the industry’s largest, most extensive collection of operators, distributors and manufacturers to enhance the system’s visibility.
Steven LaVoie, CEO and chairman of ArrowStream said, “We are honored to partner with Panda Restaurant Group and to have the opportunity to contribute to its growth and bottom line by optimizing its supply chain. A synchronized supply chain will allow Panda to continue to test and try new revenue-producing offers, while also providing important business insight to manage contracts, inventory, and freight expenses.”
