AeroDesigns Inc. today announced the U.S. launch of AeroShot Chocolate, an aerodynamic chocolate product invented by Harvard professor David Edwards that delivers the taste of chocolate without the calories. Using a small lipstick-sized tube, consumers draw fine particles of chocolate into their mouth for a unique chocolate experience. Making its U.S. debut at the Sweets and Snacks Expo in Chicago, Illinois, May 8-10, AeroShot Chocolate is available for pre-order on www.aeroshots.com/chocolate for $2.99 and will be available in stores nationwide beginning June 15.
Following the widely reported launch of AeroShot Energy earlier this year, AeroShot Chocolate uses the same patented delivery system to deliver high-quality, imported dark chocolate with no added caffeine in three delicious flavors: pure chocolate, mint chocolate and cherry chocolate.
"Delivering chocolate particles through the air to the mouth, with sizes small enough to enter the mouth and too large to go beyond it, provides the taste sensation of pure chocolate," says Edwards. "The chocolate melts immediately upon landing in your mouth. Since the particles are so small and uniformly dispersed by the air, the taste is immediate, too."
"There will always be special pleasure in a chocolate bar, or a spoonful of chocolate mousse, but when it comes to wishing for a quick taste of chocolate with no calories, AeroShot Chocolate is the perfect solution," Edwards added.
“Like other products of AeroDesigns, AeroShot Chocolate delivers a great sensation with a tiny amount,” says Tom Hadfield, CEO of AeroDesigns, Inc. “Whether accompanying a coffee, curbing an afternoon craving or finishing a great meal, AeroShot Chocolate delivers a unique, zero-calorie chocolate experience. Its pure chocolate reimagined.”
AeroShot Chocolate is a reformulation of the original Le Whif Chocolate, which sold more than 400,000 units worldwide after its launch in Paris in 2008. Le Whif emerged from a cultural experiment at ArtScience Labs, a network of culture labs founded by Edwards that catalyze idea translation through art and design experiments at frontiers of science.
